Vintage design, modern sonic purity
Yamaha introduced five new Hi-Fi components combining vintage designs, modern features and absolute sonic purity today. The new lineup includes the R-S700, R-S500 and R-S300 stereo receivers, plus the A-S500 integrated amp and T-S500 matching tuner. We’re in the process of getting these built for our site right now.
These new models are pretty cool and definitely have a classic feel. They’re bringing me back to the old system my family used to have where we had to turn on like 5 different things to listen to some music – but way better looking and way more modern. Yamaha states:
“These exciting new models give classic audio enthusiasts a winning combination of attractive, retro design harkening back to the finest Yamaha components of the 1970s and 1980s, along with the connectivity and internal design features required to anchor a modern audio system comprising both digital and analog sources. “
The new equipment can handle iPods, multi-zone audio and more. The receivers are fully compatible with Yamaha’s optional YDS-12 wired, and YID-W10 wireless docks for iPods and iPhones. In addition, the receivers feature compatibility with Yamaha’s YBA-10 Bluetooth wireless audio receiver, providing even more audio input flexibility.
These are some very solid looking pieces of equipment with some great design behind them as well.
If you want a classic appearance coupled with some great features and performance check out the R-S700, R-S500 and R-S300 stereo receivers, the A-S500 integrated amp and T-S500 matching tuner when they hit our site or showrooms later this month. Until then, here are some pictures to drool over:
