Every once in awhile, Vann’s feels like playing matchmaker. Not for people, mind you, but for electronics. That it always happens during the week or so leading up to February 14 is just a strange, yet thematically appropriate, coincidence.
While we’re not 100% sure whether the Toshiba 24″ 24SL410U is the best flat screen TV for keeping a relationship together, we do know that when you pair it with the Yamaha YAS101BL soundbar, you’re looking at a sound foundation for entertainment.
Crystal clear picture meets pinpoint sound technology when you combine these two pieces. Yamaha’s impressive YSP is able to create realistic simulated surround sound in any room big or small, and can mimic up to five speakers. Plus, you don’t have to worry about taking up all that room you saved with the Toshiba 24″ flat screen TV by installing a massive sound system. That’s a convenient pair anyone could love.
Picking a top rated camera like the Sony DSC-W560 out of the crowd is pretty easy. Eye meets lens from across the room, and it’s instant love. So you must think we’re pretty crazy to pair it with another camera like the Canon EOS Rebel XS with 18-55mm lens.
Let me explain.
Two cameras may seem kind of crazy, until you consider that they’re like two sides of the same coin. The Panasonic DSC-W560 is great for quick snapshot moments, panoramas (thanks to its Sweep Panorama mode), and for pictures of you and your special someone with smile shutter technology. The Canon EOS Rebel XS, on the other hand, is there when you want a little more precision and detail. Its DIGIC III processor captures brighter colors, a 3.0fps burst mode catches fast movement with ease, and a 7-point fast autofocus system lets you focus on finding the right moment rather than the right settings. It’s the perfect pair to take along with you on any vacation, once-in-a-lifetime trip, or romantic getaway.
Lately, it’s felt like we’ve been singing the praises of the Sony Tablet S a lot. It’s for good reason — it’s one of the best tablets around. So what could possible get paired with this paragon of portable potential? The iPod Nano.
Now, now, before the Android and Apple camps start gathering up the pitchforks and torches to burn me in Valentine’s Day effigy, consider the issue of size and power.
I can’t speak from experience, but taking a quick jog with the Sony Tablet S doesn’t seem like it would be particularly easy or comfortable. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but it does seem pretty unlikely. While the Tablet S is a multi-media machine, the iPod Nano is a music master. It’s small enough in size that you can carry it alongside the Tablet S without an issue, and it allows you conserve more power for movies, games, and more. A romantic evening could be made even more romantic by throwing on a playlist of your favorite love songs when you dock the nano, and showing off pictures of you and yours on the Tablet S. You can even queue up a romantic movie to show off on the best flat screen TV in the house.
