Shopping for Realsies.

My father was recently in the market for a new television, and doing what I do, I figured I’d do some research and help him out. This was great because his budget is much more than mine is and therefore much more fun to spend. After some time spent learning and hunting, this is the TV I suggested to him, the 46″ Samsung LN46C600. Here’s why:

46″ Screen
This is a BIG screen. It’s not so large that you have to turn your head to see a different parts of it, but this thing is nice. You can comfortably watch this TV from across a sizable living room, but you can also get it in the front door. Best of both worlds.

120 Hz
My dad being a sports fan, a TV with a higher frame rate is important. Often with a 60Hz, when the ball or puck or whatever it is you’re watching gets moving quickly, it often looks fuzzy or like it has a ghost following it. However, this is 120Hz “auto motion plus”, even Nascar will look bright and crisp.

Inputs Galore
With 4 HDMI  inputs, 2 component inputs, a PC input, and (why not) a USB port, you can connect your life to this thing without having to change out cords constantly.

Oh, did I mention that you won’t even have to plug your computer into this thing? Nope, just make your TV part of your home network and you can pull up content from whatever is connected, wirelessly.  Boom.

This TV is rated 4.9 out of 5 by those who have bought in on Vann’s, and the full reviews are great. People really seem to think that this is a great TV for an incredible price. (While I’m on the subject, you have TODAY to write a review for a product for a chance to win a Canon T2i, an $800 camera!)
