We were expecting 4K to be the big thing for flat screen TVs at CES 2012. Well, we underestimated because there is something bigger: the first ever 85” 8K television from Sharp. Say hello to 32 million pixels of pure perfection.
Although it’s just a prototype at the CES show at this point, the technology for the 8K TV has been developed, and the flat screen TV should be available in stores in the next few years. With a resolution that’s 16 times higher than the current 1080p high definition flat screen TVs, 8K is blowing our minds. Even the best LED TVs can’t compete. The images are more vivid and detailed, and there’s absolutely no pixelation, even when you get really close to the massive 85” screen. With a picture that’s so clear and lifelike, it’s got to be more like looking out a window than looking at a screen.
