The Origami: Last Stroller Standing at CES
Move over, baby buggy, and make way for the Origami. A top ten finalist in the Last Gadget Standing competition at CES 2012, the 4moms Origami just might be the mother of all strollers. Power-folding capabilities, a built-in generator, running lights, and an LCD screen…wait, this is a stroller, right?
Indeed, it is. But unlike any other models that have come before it, the Origami can fold and open at the touch of a button. Innovative safety features, including built-in sensors that detect when the child is in the stroller (and prevent it from folding) and lights to increase visibility, make this a secure ride, while an LCD screen lets you see how far you’ve walked or what the temperature is.
All of these features are powered off a built-in generator, which recharges while you walk, so you won’t have to worry about yet another baby gadget that eats tons of batteries. It’ll even charge your phone (or any USB-compatible device) while you go for a morning stroll.
