The world’s largest OLED, thinnest screen, and most luminous television debuted 8 A.M. Monday morning at—where else?—the Las Vegas CES Show 2012. LG’s 55” HDTV only weighs 16.5 lbs and the TV’s nearly borderless design has a bezel only 4 mm thick. While the rest of the OLEDs currently on the market only have red-blue-green pixel sets, this new OLED adds white to the RGB combination for a 4-color pixel set for the most natural, accurate, and sharpest image yet among the top rated flat screen TVs. Not to mention the speed: 1,000 times faster than other LED/LCD displays, this 55” OLED won’t blur or bleed your sports or action movies a bit. Clearly, it will be one of the best flat screen TVs of 2012.
Another debut that makes LG the showstopper at the CES Show is LG’s application of Google TV on more than 60% of their flat panel TVs this year. Up until now, Sony was the only company offering Google TV. Sure to be among the top-rated flat screen TVs of 2012, LG TVs with Google TV allows users to use their television as a huge internet browser where they can watch movies, TV shows, sports, and concerts whenever they want. The remote includes a full qwerty keyboard and its user-friendly interface works with Android operating systems and apps. Watch a movie one of the best flat screen TVs and discuss it with friends online simultaneously. Better yet, gather a group around the set to watch 3D blu-rays with affordable, battery-free 3D glasses.
