More than 160,000 Americans lose their cell phones every day. Not to mention keys, wallet, laptop case, purse, gloves, or even scarier, your baby. Never leave valuable items and lives behind again with the Cobra Tag G5. No, it’s not a snake that coils around all your objects to keep them together, but it does link items of your choice together. Debuting at the 2012 CES Show in Vegas this week, this gadget has the top rated GPS system to track down your items.
The Cobra Tag G5 is a combination of Bluetooth and top rated GPS enabled physical tags (about the size of a traditional key fob) and an iPhone app. You enable the app on your phone and then you place the physical tags on an unlimited number of items. Thus, if you leave your phone in your car, the tag on your keys will sound, or if you leave your keys on the kitchen counter, your phone will alert you. If you lose your phone, the Cobra Tags attached to your other items (your laptop bag, keys, etc.) will beep. If you miss the beep, rest assured, you’ll still get emailed, texted, twittered, Facebooked, or even GoogleMapped your missing items’s location and time of disappearance so you can track it down. Cobra Tag can even alert select friends or family members so THEY can alert you that you’ve lost something. However the method, as long as you’ve tagged your valuable items, you’ll know not only that they’re missing but where and when they went missing. You can even tag yourself or your baby so that you won’t lose each other. Be aware that tagging your teen to keep them out of trouble or your spouse or significant other to determine whether they’re cheating will not work, as the tagger and “taggee” will know they are tagged, must agree that they will be tagged, and only volunteer to be tagged if they do not want to separate from you!
