This week is CES 2013, the world’s largest annual tradeshow of consumer electronics. It’s where the most influential manufacturers debut their newest products and upcoming product prototypes.

One of these vendors that we’re especially excited about, and will soon be carrying at Vann’s, is Goal Zero, a leading manufacturer of solar powered chargers. Their charging kits are designed to power everything from cell phones to TVs to mini-fridges. Whether you’re camping, traveling, or living off the grid, Goal Zero offers a convenient and sustainable power solution.

At CES, Goal Zero’s Yeti 1250 Solar Generation Kit was named an Innovations Awards Honoree for the Portable Power category. Innovations Awards are given out to products that score high on engineering qualities, aesthetic and design qualities, and value to the user.

The Yeti 1250 can be charged from the sun, wall, or car, and it generates enough power to backup critical appliances like refrigerators and home health care equipment. It generates power silently and cleanly, which makes it safe and convenient to use inside the house, cabin or tent.

Goal Zero also introduced the new Yeti 150 Solar Generator at CES this week. The Yeti 150 is a smaller, more portable version of the Yeti 1250. It charges via a GoalZero solar panel (or in the wall or car) in 5 to 10 hours. It can then provide multiple re-charges for a variety of devices (up to 15 re-charges for a smartphone).

Vann’s is pleased to offer Goal Zero products in the upcoming year! Stay tuned for more information to come. What would you be most likely to use a solar generator for?
