CES Recap: OLED TVs, Headphones, and Connectivity
It’s been a whirlwind of activity around Vann’s since CES 2012, but things are finally settling back down. I was able to get some feedback from Gerry Demple (@Gdemple), Director of Retail, about his observations and thoughts on CES.
What are the most important products/ technology that you saw at CES this year?
OLED TV; new app-driven products (health & fitness equipment is a prime example); new McIntosh gear; the overall drive for connectivity via home networks, etc.; lots and lots of headphones.
What were you most surprised by?
Show traffic and optimism for the future.
What trends did you observe?
The importance of strong ubiquitous networks (home especially) across many product platforms. Headphones have become the new loudspeaker.
What were you most impressed by?
The strength and optimism of our industry.
