5 Movies that should be redone in 3D

by .   filed under:

With the newfound prominence of 3D movies and 3D television, it’s a shame that so many movies never got a chance to be in real 3D. Accordingly, I’ve compiled this short list of the first 5 movies that should be redone using 3D technology. Enjoy!
1. MAD MAX
Between Mel’s immaculate mullet and the liberal use of explosions and propulsionary weaponry in this film, I’m pretty sure you can understand why this movie should be 3D.

2. CASTAWAY
Tom Hanks’ ungracious overacting absolutely stole the spotlight in this movie. It’s as though he thinks he’s the only actor in the film. Personally, I think that reshooting this movie in 3D would add depth to Wilson’s character and give him his well-deserved chance to shine.

3. FERN GULLY
This movie is awesome, and it’s the original Avatar. Literally, the plot lines are nearly identical, but Fern Gully is way better because I saw it when I was five, and Fairies>Na’vi (they can fly).

4. THE BIG LEBOWSKI
Any reason to watch this movie again is a good one, plus I’m sure that some of the bowling shots would look pretty awesome in 3D. The dude abides.

5. THE WIZARD OF OZ
This one is kind of obvious, but the OZ would benefit from being in 3D. Then, you could go watch it in IMAX, throw on your ipod with “Dark Side of the Moon” and, like, totally get your mind blown, man!
